End-of-Term Administrative Stuff

Getting things back

We expect that your marked assignment 4 will be available before the exam. An announcement will be posted in the newsgroup when they are ready.

Old assignments and tests are generally available at your professor's office hours. At some point, they will be taken to the Computer Science Student Union (CSSU) where you can pick them up.

The CSSU is in the Engineering Annex. Note that they have irregular hours. The schedule is available here, but it is likely to change after classes end. Their office number is 978-5354. Note also that because all leftover computer science assignments go the to CSSU, things can get lost. It's much better to pick things up from us before they get to the CSSU.

Marks

Some of your marks are already posted on Diane's corkboard (outside SF 2302). This list will be revised when assignment 4 is marked.

Check your marks before the exam!! It is your responsibility to ensure that they were recorded properly. Report any errors by bringing the relevant assignment or test to your professor as soon as possible, preferrably at office hours. You must do this before the final exam.

Your mark in the course

We expect to post unofficial course grades on Diane's corkboard. If they're not there, that means the marks aren't ready yet. It takes quite a while to mark the exams and sort out the final grades.

The unofficial marks will probably be posted by May 15th. I will post a message on the course newsgroup to let you know when they are ready.

Summer session

Question: Is there anyway that the final marks or the exam marks could be made available on May 8? That is the last day before summer session starts, and some of us would like to know if we achieved a mark over the computer science program requirement
Answer: This scheduling difficulty arises every year. Unfortunately, we cannot promise to have course marks available before summer session starts. You simply have to make your best guess, based on the 60% or so of the course mark you already know, and on how well you feel you did when you wrote the final. If you think you *may* need to redo 148, sign up; you can drop it later if you find you did get the mark you needed.
If the marks are ready sooner than the 15th, we will let you know in the newsgroup and on the web page.
