Final exam
schedule for the Faculty of Arts and Science
Announcements - Watch this space
for announcements throughout the term.
August 20
- I posted the marks for the final
exam. Note that these are unofficial marks. You will get you
official mark from the Faculty. (There could be slight adjustments,
such as 59 adjusted to 60, etc.).
- I am in my office Tue 12 - 6 pm, in case
you want to talk to me. Wed morning at the latest I will submit the
marks to the Faculty.
- I posted solutions to the final
exam (under the Assignments link).
August 12
- The marks for H4 are out. You can take your assignment back
from the box outside SF4301, as well as any older assignments or remarking requests.
- Friday, August 17 is the last day you can hand
in remarking
requests.
August 7
- There will be an extra office hour Mon Aug13,
4:30 - 6 pm, in case you have last-minute questions before the exam.
- The marks for Project2 are out. You get your
project back in lecture.
- Remember there is no tutorial this week.
August 3
- There will be no tutorials next week, Wed, Aug
8. The lectures will be at the usual time and they will include exam preparation.
- The solution to Project2 was posted.
July 26
- Homework 4 is out. The deadline was extended
(because Aug 6 is the Monday of a long weekend). H4 is due just before
lecture, Tue, Aug 7, 1 pm for Day section, and Wed, Aug 8, 6pm for the
Evening section. No late homeworks will be accepted.
July 19
- You should have a look on the webpage at the Frequently
Asked Questions about Project 2.
- I will have extra office hours on Monday, July 23, 4:30-5:30 pm in
SF2303D or SF4301B.
- Old projects and homeworks can be found in the box in front of SF4301.
July 13 You can take your project1 back from a box in front of
SF4301, any time.
July 12
- Project 2 is out.
- Marks for project 1 are out. You can pick up you project from a box
in front of SF4301.
June 26
- The midterm exam for EVENING section will
be in MP134 for ALL students (Wed, June 27, 8pm). This is a
change only for the half of the class who used to go in BF315 for tutorial.
I realized that BF315 is a very small room. I tried to get another room
instead of BF315 (without success).
- For next tutorials, I reconsidered the split of the EVENING class into
A-L (MP134, TA: Cosmin) and M-Z (BF315, TA: Tristan). This is because the
second half in the initial split became too big after the late registrations.
June 15 - See Midterm Preparation Page.
June 13 - See Frequently Asked Questions about
Project 1.
June 11
- The handout for Project 1 is on the webpage. You have
plenty of time to solve it, if you start working soon. Both the paper and
the electronic submission are due on Thursday, June
21, 6 pm, for the DAY section, and
Friday, June 22, 6 pm for the EVENING section,
in 324 drop box.
- I posted an updated version of the file infosheet.ps
(pdf). As you will notice, some deadlines are slightly changed by
the addition of a couple of days (and hours). I had to do this because
of the extension for H2 and also to try to be as fair as possible with
both the evening and the day section.
June 8
- Rescheduled lecture for the evening
section, today, June 8, Friday, 6 PM in MP134.
- Extended office
hours for both sections, today, Friday until
6pm, and Monday 4:30-6pm in SF2303D or SF4301B.
- Because of the unfortunate incident
with the missed lecture, I have to extend
the homework2 deadline for the EVENING SECTION ONLY,
until Wednesday, June 13, 6pm. No assignments taken later than this. You
have to submit electronically on time. The paper submission can be handed
in the drop box or in class (Wed 6pm). Evening students will get the 5%
bonus, if they hand in the drop box and electronically before Monday, 6pm.
June 1st
- Homework 2 is out. You should download
it from this webpage (follow the Assignments link). The deadline
was extended until Sunday, June 10, 5pm (in the dropbox). Because
of the extension, no homeworks are taken later than this. However, students
who hand in according to the initial deadline, Friday, June 8, 5pm, get
a bonus of 5% of their mark.
- Office hours from Wed, June 6 and Thu,
June 7, are moved to Fri, June 8, 11am-2pm.
May 23 - Homework 1 is out. You should
download it from this webpage (follow the Assignments link).
May 17 - Change of room for lecture, day section,
Tue 1-3 pm. The new room is SS1083,
which is bigger. No change for the evening section.
May 6 -There is no tutorial in the first week of classes.
