The Symposium is sponsored by the Fields Institute for the Mathematical Sciences, MITACS (Mathematics of Information Technology and Complex Systems), the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo, the Centre for Computational Mathematics in Industry and Commerce (U. Waterloo), and IMACS (International Association for Mathematics and Computers in Simulation).

FORMAT AND THEME

The conference will feature invited lectures, minisymposia, selected contributed papers and a paper competition for students and new PhDs. Topics targeted include but are not limited to:

PUBLICATIONS

Each speaker will be invited to submit a paper for publication in a special issue of the IMACS Journal of Applied Numerical Mathematics. See authors' instructions and Latex2e class file. These papers will be subjected to the same rigorous refereeing process as regular journal submissions.
Submit paper in postscript or pdf format by e-mail to imacs05@fields.utoronto.ca and to one of the organizers.
Deadline for paper submission: July 15, 2005
