The program includes presentations by researchers,
and interactive workshop and
a presentation on The HHF Greek-Canadian Archives Projects.
Participants will discuss how Greek-Canadian identities
are conceptualized and enacted in Canada, and the creation
of a digital archive.
The conference will offer the HHF Greek-Canadian Archives
research team, but also artists, and the broader public
the opportunity to share fresh insights into what it has meant
to be Greek-Canadian historically, and what it means today.

Title: 2025 Greek Summer School on Greek Language and Culture
Target group: Youth of Hellenic Descent (18 to 24 years old) and
Greek Teachers in Kalamata
Dates: July 10 - August 5

This is a vibrant educational and cultural program designed
in collaboration with the University of Peloponnese and
supported by the Federal Government, the Local Governments,
the Mitropolis of Messinia, to connect our youth with
the Greek language, history, and traditions in an engaging and
inspiring environment.
This four-week program (July 10 - August 5) includes: Greek language,
history and culture lessons at three levels (*complete beginner*,
intermediate, and advanced), educational visits to Ancient Olympia,
Mycenae, the Palace of Nestor, Ancient Messini, the Archaeological Museum
of the Acropolis, Mani, the museums of Kalamata (Military, Cultural and
Archaeological), Mount Taygetos, the Church of Ypapandi, the picturesque
towns of Pylos, Kyparissia, Finikounda, Koroni, Methoni and elsewhere.
Applications are now open; students and teachers are welcome to apply by
Thu 5 June 2025.
Maximum 45 students will be admitted to the program.

April 13 2025 marks 100 years since the birth of Mikis Theodorakis.
2025 has been named by the Greek Ministry of Culture as
The Year of Mikis Theodorakis.
As one of the most important figures in Greek culture,
Theodorakis was the first composer to set poetry to music,
fusing poems from Greece's most famous poets with
traditional Greek music, bringing it to the lips and hearts of all Greeks.
The fourth annual celebration of Poetry and Music by HCAAO
