• End of Term
  • Unofficial final marks are available on the marks page. Note: If you did not submit an a4 then your unofficial final mark is fadj. If you did submit a4, then your unofficial final mark is the best of fadj and finl2.
• Week 13
  • I will be holding office hours Thursday 2-4 (after the Tech Session). Come by and ask questions about test2.

• Week 12
  • a3 marks and comments are up
  • There is a tutorial on Friday, it will cover computational geometry. See the tutorials page.
  • I have taken a closer look at some of your work, a3 is pretty impressive (especially the combined assignments). Documentation has improved, just remember, documentation ensures that you and others can understand you code.
  • Assignment 4 has now been posted. I have removed some questions.
  • Fixed a2 marks have now been posted.
  • Just a reminder, there is a tech session this week on Multimodal applications (or how to voice enable your ipod). Next week, Microsoft. See the Tech Sessions page
  • a1, a2 and t1 marks have now been posted. Please check yours. If you have any issue with marks, please get back to me asap.
• Week 11
  • There are tech sessions arranged for the next two weeks. Multimodal applications next week, Microsoft the week after. See the Tech Sessions page.
  • By general agreement, assignment 4 will be optional. If you do it, it will only count if it improves the assignment component of your mark. If you have any objection to this adjustment, please let me know asap. Last week, I announced that we would vote, this week we voted, there were no objections.
  • Test 1 marks have now been posted. You will get them back tomorrow. Any marks adjustments will be made after all marks are in.
  • There will be a CSC Academic Planning session this Wednesday March 23, from 1:10 p.m. to 2 p.m., in the Board room of the Student Centre. Pizza, with beer and/or pop, will be provided. You are invited. Topics to be discussed include - getting into StG CSC courses - the new programs - new courses - PEY, Science Education - proposed 2005-2006 CSC timetable - mug shots of faculty and staff

  • The a3 submit link is up.
  • Microsoft will be comming to UTM on Thursday April 7 ( I know you will be swamped). They will be here to talk about .NET and to collect resumes. If you can spare the hour, you should show up.
  • Fridays tutorial will be help on the assignment.
  • Lecture on Wednesday will introduce a new topic to the course. Notes will be on the board. Don't miss it.
• Week 09
  • Please check the due date for a3.
  • Just a reminder: Your a1 marks and mark comments are available on the marks page.
  • You have a test on Wednesday. Office hours are Tuesday 3-4, Wednesday 10-12. Please let me know if you can't make these. I will schedule an additional hour at your convenience on Tuesday. Also, send any questions and I will post them and their answers on the for marks page.

  • I have posted starter code for a03 (see the assignment page).
  • I have posted a whole collection of sample questions to help prepare you for test 1. See the forMarks section of the web page. This Fridays tutorial will go over some of these questions.
  • Assignment 01 marks have been posted, check out the comments on your assignment posted next to the link.
  • Assignment 03 has now been posted, it should be somewhat less work than 02, but will require some thought (especially for improving the aligning warp section).
  • Notes for last week and this week have been posted. The perspective transform was covered in more detail on the board last week.
  • I see that the submit page is not functioning. Until the submit page is back up, please submit via email to arnold@cs.toronto.edu with Subject: csc320 a2 submit
  • The 320 midterm will be moved to Wednesday March 9 (during lecture).

    Hi

    I was surfing the net and I came across this page that showed an image takes with 2.5 Billion Pixels. You can zoom in and see very fine details. Do try to see the time on the tower way back in the original picture. By the way the time seems to be 3:05pm when the picture was taken lol. I hope others will also enjoy browsing this picture. However, I spotted some problems in the picture. A bus at one part of the image is only half visible with the other half being a car!! I hope you can comment more on this.

  • Youssef points out that your last assignment was very relevent... Hi professor Today I mentioned to you about seeing a news segment where police cut out the picture of a little girl who is being sexually abused to get a lead on the abuser. The cutting out of the picture is relevent to 320 course. below is the link to the article. The video from the article is the video segment I watched on tv.
