I am the youngest in my family. I have two older brothers and a older sister; they all play hockey. I have been around hockey my whole life. My dad was a professional hockey coach in France and in Switzerland. he is now the manager of a hockey club. Thierry, my older brother plays professionally. he is a goalie. He has also been playing in the french national hockey team, and he is now playing with Team Canada at the "Cup Spengler", he is third goalie. I am fifteen and I have benn playing hockey for nine years. Now I go to a boarding high school in New York, where is my hockey team. i also play in Switzerland, division A, on a team called Lugano. my dream and also my goal is to make it to the nationals, I am French and Canadian, so I have two opportunities. It is just so hard to make right contact, especially when the only people that can help me dislike my father, because of his job. To make it to the French national hockey team, I have to play in a french team for three years, but I live in Switzerland. The closest team is Lyon (three hours away), they are the last year's champions. The only thing is that if i want to play there I need to pay a lot of money, so that I can make the transfer,and i don't have enough for it. They did not even ask to see what I can do. The next closer team from me is in Paris (six hours away). It is way too far from the city where I live. I do not want this dream to slip away from me, so I am looking for the e-mail address of the coach or phone number, address...anything that could help me, even if it is from somebody who works there, anything! Hello, My name is Tim Dilworth and I am an assistant coach of the Radnor High School Women’s Ice Hockey Team. The Radnor was started three years ago. We have 25 players on the team. Even more wanted to play but there wasn’t room! In the Philadelphia there are only two or three High School teams. There are several club teams. I am a pro sports photographer and have been covering hockey for about 15 years at all levels of play and would like to start concertrating on the womens game especially with the advent of the WPHL starting up hopefully soon! Although I make good money from shooting the male games and the youth games I enjpy teh finesse that teh womens games are played wiht and would like to start covering all levels on a more regular basis. I live in St Louis and very few ice or inline tourneys take place in this area. I checked out teh tourney sights and if anyone has info about a tourney needing a pro photographer shooting action shots please e mail me and let me know. I can provide on site delivery of action photos and incorpurate a logo and/or touney name and can offer some fundrasing back to the leagues or teams from these photos shot at the touneys. I want to start compiling some hockey photos to go along wiht the other womens sports I shoot and someday produce a book of my many years in the sports photo field. As a womens in a mans work I appreciate and want to support any women who has a passion and a dream to de what tehy love. Message from guest...A post script: Bill, my husband, used to teach Geography for a few all too short years at the Queens University in Windsor, Ont. (I think!) He grew to LOVE the sport. Moved back to Colorado where we met. and I fell in love with hockey after going to my first CC hockey game in the Springs. Coach Jeff Sauer, now in my home state of Wis., was the CC coach at the time. Speaking of which, in reflection of my youth and adolescence just outside Milwaukee, I know I'd never heard of ice hockey (men or women's) being played in Wis. Obviously, UW-Madison had a team but I never heard of it nor any regional, municpal teams like you wonderfully lucky Canadians do!!! Kudos to ya! The Brooklyn Blades Women's Ice Hockey Team, now in our seventh fantastic season, is seeking qualified coaches who love women's ice hockey as much as we do. We are in need of 1 coach + 1 assistant coach for our competitive team, which plays in the Tri-State Women's Hockey League - B Level. Must be dedicated to attending practices (usually 1 per week) and games (usually 2-3 per month) during evenings and/or weekends. Work in an environment that fosters fun, learning, teamwork, and competition. Must be willing to work with coach of our travel/rec team during combined squad practices. Either coach may be required to cover a game for the travel/rec team if necessary. Practices are at Abe Stark in Coney Island. Travel games are usually within 1-2 hours of NYC. Both teams attend the annual Brampton Canadettes tournament in Ontario over Easter weekend. USA Hockey insurance fees and some travel expenses covered, plus nominal stipend. Hi! The Beiseker Bullets have just completed our first season. Beiseker is 40 minutes north east of Calgary. We are a recreational women's team - average age is 35. As a player and coach I understand the need for good comptent coaching. My daughter's club the Delco Phantoms who play out of Ice works in Aston, PA is currently looking for a new caoch. The Phantom's have won the Delaware Valley Hockey League championship the last 3 year, but are now moving to the AWHL which is more competative. As an update on the women's ice hockey situation in New Zealand. Currently there would be 200 + women and girls playing in three regions around the country: Auckland, Canterbury and Southern League. We have been competing in National Championships for 3 years now, with the Southern League winning first in 1998, and Auckland winning in 1999 and 2000. The first 'New Zealand' team was formed in 1999, and played against a travelling 'Canadian Moose' team, The first official New Zealand womens team travelled to Sydney, Australia in November, 2000. While no New Zealand team has competed at the World Champs yet, the team will be there heopfully in the not to distant future. On the local side, I believe there are women's leagues in Auckland and Canterbury, while in Southern, we compete in with the boys in age group leagues. I've been playing for 2 years now, and I would say that the amount of women in Southern League especially, has doubled from the first year I played. Its not just a sport for the men anymore. As a side note, for those people who haven't heard of the Canadian Moose teams, they consist of a men's and women's team, who travel the world playing and coaching in countries where ice hockey isn't all that big. The team has toured annually to New Zeland for several years now, and they're awesome ambassadors of the sport of ice hockey. Down here in Southern they draw capacity crowds (500), playing against the National men's and regional women's team. Not bad when the local population is only 2-3000.

Andria, I am currently coaching the Nagano Falcons. The Falcons consist of three teams; Lower Elementary 4-8, Upper Elementary 9-12, and Jr. High. We have about 50 girls on our roaster. We are currently unbeaten when playing girls or womens teams this season.W12/L0/T2 We are very proud of our girls. I have met one of your team mates, Akiko Hatanaka. How is she doing with your team? She is a friend of our teams GM, Yuko Inoue. Mr. Inoue would like to wish Akiko all the best. I have been playing hockey for 9 years or so. I just turned 14 on January 13. I love playing hockey and have played on a "boy's" team all my life. My brother, Dad,and cousins play hockey. My favourite player is Hayley wickenheiser. I also play soft ball in the summer I want to play for team Canada in the olympics for hockey and softball.

I think that its an outrage that a player of janet jacks quality didn't get there game for great britan at the olympics when she is just as or even more physically fitter than the rest of her team mates. there were players played out of position playing in her position obvously there is a great case of favoritism in that team the coach must be out of his mind well now that i have that off my chest i think i'll go look at some porn goodbye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
