Prerequisites: First, you need the ability to develop software programs to complete the programming assignments (CSC 209/309). We will be using Java. Second, you need a basic understanding of probability concepts, in order to complete the written assignment questions (STAT 257).

Required textbook: Computer Networks: A Systems Approach
Larry L. Peterson and Bruce S. Davie
Both the 3rd edition or the 4th edition (published this year) can be used.
