Security Vulnerability in Powerpoint now fixed
Microsoft has released a fix to the Powerpoint vulnerability reported a bit over a month ago. This vulnerability allows an attacker to create a specially crafted Powerpoint document that can automatically run commands specified by the attacker when the document is opened or viewed. The affected versions are Powerpoint 2000, 2002, 2003, and 2004 for Windows and the Mac. Patches (Microsoft Office PowerPoint Service Pack 3) are available through Windows Update, or for download from Microsoft.
