Women in Computer Science

University of Toronto

Women graduate students and faculty in the Department of Computer Science, University of Toronto, meet monthly for lunch. The objective of the lunch is largely to build community. The lunches are informal and the format varies. Sometimes we have invited guests who lead discussions on topics of interest. Other times we have informal conversation. Topics vary from personal to professional, issues specific to women, to graduate students and to computer scientist. Please come and join us when you can and for as long as you can.

Our group also serves as the contact point for events related to women in math and CS. Over the years, a number of the women in this group have benefitted from participation in various events designed to mentor and promote women in computer science and mathematics.

For further information, please contact the current faculty representative for this group: Sheila McIlraith (sheila -at- cs -dot- toronto -dot edu).
