NSERC and UTEA Summer Research Awards: Project Descriptions Available This is a great opportunity to do research with a professor (for pay!) and is often a launching pad for graduate school. You may apply for any of the projects that are posted (DEADLINE 11 Jan) or independently find a professor to work with (DEADLINE 07 Feb). CSSU Dinner at the Autogrill restaurant (Dec 20) Tickets for both events are available at the CSSU office (BA 2283). Dinner $32.30; and skip trip $170. Details for both events can be further obtained at the CSSU office. If you are in a CSC program, you should have a "program account" on CDF. Course accounts (eg c2diane) are suspended in terms when you aren't taking a CSC course. If you are in a CSC Major or Specialist, you can avoid this by requesting a program account. CUTC conference Jan 11-13 in Toronto - student subsidies available! The Canadian Undergraduate Technology Conference is a great opportunity to learn the about computing technology and industry from leaders in the field. The department is offering a subsidy of $75 for the first 40 students to register. (You must be a St George student enrolled in a Computer Science Subject POSt to qualify).
