ACM CAREER NEWS ITEMS

The "CareerNews" (is there a worldwide shortage of space characters?) has a couple of items you might find interesting:

• "Escalating War for Talent Drives Changes in Recruitment"
• "Consulting: A Smart IT Career Choice"
• "Wooing Interns to Silicon Valley"

You might note a common theme to those items -- namely, you're in a good position at a good time.

There are also some items on how to proceed once you're there. Here's one that will help right away:

• "Tips for Recent College Grads Stepping Into the Work Force"

CAREER CENTRE EVENTS

Continuing in the career-oriented vein, you might like to take a look at the summer events offered by UofT's Career Centre.

They have three or four seminars every week, on topics such as "Interview Techniques", "Workplace Etiquette", and "Successful Strategies for Finding Work".
