Office at the University of Toronto: a collection of resources
available for women at UofT. This includes links of UofTWomen
websites throughout the University.
- Joint NSERC/Nortel Chair for Women
in Sciences and Engineering: information on women in engineering and
physics, women-based organizations, feedback from women in these fields,
statistics, conferences, newsletters, and links to related sites.

Women and Minorities in Science and Engineering: web site created by Ellen
Spertus (assistant professor of CS at Mills College in Oakland, California);
information on women-based organizations, articles, profiles and links to
related sites.
- Association for Women in Computing(AWC)
: home page for the AWC. It has information on the goals, history, and
activities of the organization; provides a column called "Live Wire" which
consists of articles which try to increase the confidence of women (article
topics include explanations of computer-related activity, work-place and
security issues); links to related sites.
- Women in Computing:
originally a site for a "Women in Computing" course at the University of
Washington; it is now more oriented on becoming a resource for women in
computing. It has links to academic and research programs, online documents,
professional organizations, "herstory" of women in computing, and many, many
related sites.
- The Ada Project:
Tapping Internet Resources for Women in Computer Science: home page for
the Ada Project (TAP) at the University of Yale. It provides a wealth of
information (through linking to online sites) for women in computuer
science. It also has a feedback page which contains opinions of some of the
people who have visited this site.
- Canadian Coalition of
Women in Engineering, Science and Technology (CCWEST): home page for the
CCWEST organization. It has information on statistics, upcoming events
happening in Canada, and links to women-based organizations around the world.
- Women in Engineering
Association(WEA): home page for a University of Toronto based organization
It has descriptions of present and past events, links to related sites, and
contact information.
- Association for Women in Science (AWIS)
: home page for AWIS. It has information on the goals, history and
activities of the organization; information on mentoring projects and
leadership conferences; the AWIS magazine; information on how to obtain
publications. Also, it is in the process of creating a database of women
scientists;
- Women in Science at
UBC: home page for this University of British Colombia based organization.
It has descriptions of their informal lectures, home pages of women faculty
and graduate students, and links to related sites.
- Women in
Information Technology: a web site which has links related to library and
information science, computer science, and information technology.
- Grace Hopper
Celebration of Women in Computing: home page for an organization which
schedules conferences to celebrate the successes of women in the field of
computing. Go to the 1997 conference

- Women and
Computer Science: web page created by Ellen Spertus (assistant professor

- NAE Celebration of Women in Engineering
: a web site created by the National Academy of Engineering (NAE). It has
academic-related information, publications on the subject of women in
engineering; mentoring and career related information; meeting information of
professional engineering societies.
