The People Decide
The place of propaganda differs from country to country. In what some
people describe as dictatorship there is not competing propaganda. Those
who dissent from the official line are not permitted to propagate their
belief. Thus the open ferment of ideas is attenuated. In an open society,
the inevitable arbitrator of what propaganda is to be permitted is people.
It is incumbent upon each citizen to choose between competing propagandas
from the pressures both at home and abroad remaining on the alert against
spurious propaganda efforts.
