There is no personal information stored inside the log. We are characterizing the behavior of iTrustPage by means of a deployment to potential users. While you are using our tool, we are recording a log of the behavior of iTrustPage. The iTrustPage log is stored as a XML file inside your Firefox profile directory. Periodically, the log is automatically sent to us and erased from your machine. You also have the option to disable the usage logs.

Our goal is to maintain your privacy. First, iTrustPage's validated Web page list is stored on your own computer. During your normal browsing, iTrustPage does not query services to determine the legitimacy of a Web page.

When you are asked to validate a Webpage, iTrustPage will query Google using the search terms you provide. Once the validation process is complete, you have the option of sending us the page you attempted to validate. We use this information to improve future versions of iTrustPage.
